Malle Høje

Malle høje are burial mounds from the Early Bronze age (1800- 1000 BC) They have never been excavated, but their size and spectacular location along the ancient, now cancelled road “ Hærvejen” to the east, indicate the time of their establishment. Only families of the nobility were buried in such large mounds. Men as well as woman and children have been buried here. In well preserved graves intact clothing of both men and woman has been found.
